anyway, he is an idiod. sidon doesn't know exactly how souls work here, but he's fairly sure they could be trapped in the helly belly forever, regardless of how many wacky revival hijinks are in play. also it's going to be sad either way. dummy. ]
I do worry...
[ for the living, in general. ]
Of course we have our own problems [ SMASHCUT TO CYOA RETURNS ] but it feels as though the ship is designed to torment them.
[Souls work different in Virche IT'S FINE IT'S FINE. EVERYONE STOP BEING SAD says Dahut never because he's still an emotions stan.
He just nods, though, because he also worries about the living. They have sooo many idiots on that side still (smashcut to the trial as well) and he's constantly fretting.]
It really does, doesn't it? They hardly ever seem to catch any breaks... I'd wish they could rest soon, but it might be best that they just keep their guards up until we're out of this mess.
[ they have some smarties but also a lot of idiots yeah. they took a lot of the nerds. also he thinks most of the graveyard isn't the type to have a meltdown... except sora who had the biggest meltdown actually so maybe it's evening out. ]
Yes... I think they'll just need to be vigilant the whole way through.
[ they do still have some moodmakers, at least. he just worries about morale regardless. ]
I just think these things take longer than a week to heal from. Nodd—as irreverent as he was today—is clearly struggling through loss. He is only an example of what happens when wounds of the heart because too grievous.
[ALMOST EVERY NERD GOES IMMEDIATELY TO HELL! Also yeah. This is a very stable graveyard emotionally speaking, somehow, except Sora the outlier. Godspeed.]
Mm, they will.
[Though he drops into something quiet at that, as he considers. Struggling through loss is something he's intimately familiar with, but at the same time, he doesn't have a lot of leniency for people who let their struggles with loss put others in harm's way. At least he's not as much of an asshole about it as Scien, though...]
Unfortunately, they don't have the luxury of taking the time needed to heal those wounds... I wish that wasn't the case, but they'll need to hold themselves together at least enough so that their grief doesn't become everyone else's problem.
