We have our share of hardships. The Great Calamity rattled the land, and it ripples through us even a hundred years later. Some still have idiotic bad blood with the Hylians—I won't allow it to continue.

We've historically worked well beside Hylians—their ingenuity with our craftsmanship has served a communal good. If not for our... shared tragedy, I believe we'd be excellent neighbors.
Then besides the Hylians, there are the Rito, the Gerudo, and the Gorons. Rather than any quarrels, I'd say we're each a bit prone to isolation. [ which is why link has to go around helping them all versus any of the helping each other ] We could stand to work together more often, but we at least don't bother one another. It is a relative state of harmony, and in times of need we are allies. Why?
On Valisthea, though we are all human we are constantly at war or in conflict with our neighbours. I had thought it would be even more pronounced with societies of different races...
