[ oh dear, indeed. but he doesn't look too put out when she arrives, offering a little wave. ]

It isn't, but—frankly, it's your comfort I'm more concerned about! [ he can deal, she's the one who got stuck with the biggest lug here. ] This is your room too, yes?

[ she gives a lil nod back. ] Apparently.

... Comfort isn't a big priority to me. I don't sleep much, anyway. So don't worry about it.

It is a priority to me, however. [ her comfort, that is. even if she's tough, no sense in making these next few months any worse than they need to be. ] Having a safe space to rest is important! The bed is too small for me regardless, if you would like it.

So. How do you usually pass the time? [ BECAUSE SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH HERSELF RIGHT NOW. ]

[ antsy! the feeling is contagious enough to make his gills flutter a bit against his ribs. ]

My responsibilities keep me occupied at home... [ which doesn't. help now. ] Is that what you're facing as well? Not having enough to fill your plate?

Not that I'm not in desperate need of a good vacation, but this isn't how I imagined it. What kind of a job involves this much free time?

I don't think work is supposed to count as a vacation.

[ she must usually have a lot on her shoulders... ]

When I do have a free moment, I usually spend it talking, sparring, or teaching. [ common thread is... ] Just spending time with others, I suppose! It makes the day go by much more quickly than being left to my own devices.

Week 1: Tuesday

Week 1: Thursday

[ hello it is 'hunt down everyone who went on cyoa' time but it is also 'check in on my roommate' time!!!! aaaaaa?! ]

What on Earth happened to you guys? [ 'earth'? ] Figure of speech, obviously.

[ aaaaaa indeed. he's sitting over in the medbay; the trunk of his arm is at least closed over. he gives her a little smile and wave with his good arm in greeting, but he does look tired. ]

...Goodness. I don't know. Prison?

[ thank god he is actually in the medbay. she respects him so much more than everyone else. ]

[ thank you he will leave when it gets crowded because there's eight injured people, but he does take the requisite time to take care of himself without any fuss. ]

Hm... It was a prison, at first? But we were extracted by the "United States" government which implanted bombs in our brains. Hell no. And then we were tasked to eliminate a very wealthy, very grief-stricken gentleman who was raising the dead.

It wasn't anywhere here—I'd almost believe it was a dream? If not for— [ wiggles... arm stump. ]

Week 2: Monday

[ spins the wheel. it's... lodge time. sure. ]

[ he's shaking some snow off his stupid shark head and the heavy cloak he's wearing. ]

Ugh—I can see why they needed to hire people to go to these far-reaching planets...

[ it's kind of like how iguanas fall out of trees when it's wintertime in florida. sad scalies in the snow.

but he's bigger than iguana and not that chumpy and bundled up so he's just sighing and putting up with it. ]

Would it be too much to ask for somewhere nice next week? A very peaceful, sunny pond, perhaps?
