auction items are unlocked :) which means that in the stasis bay, where scien had been spending a solid amount of his time, he's looking at the now glowing, active, awake reliver machine. it thrums with a foreboding energy and scien is at one of the monitors, running a diagnostics check. when sidon wanders in, scien glances up]
Oh? I thought you'd be caught up with your adoring fans.
You mean my dear friends, who I've not seen in weeks? Yes, I've made some rounds.
[ he sounds amused, his mood generally high. but he doesn't know A Science, so he's just observing the machine curiously from a safe, unbreakable distance. ]
[but he seems content with the distance sidon stands... too many people have wandered too close. scien will just continue to run his stupid lil diagnostic tests to make sure things are working]
Though I wonder if I might be a little bit more like you soon, based on how my next experiment goes...
I wouldn't call it a change... I already decided that I would amend the problems Relivers had in the first week here, when I discussed the matter with Dahut.
It doesn't change that I find many emotions to be more detrimental than helpful... but I do consider them surprisingly necessary for the human experience.
I have been the same for very many years, improving small systems bit by bit, but I had lost my sense of inspiration. That has been more inhibiting than I expected.

it feels like a change from—where he was, long ago. but obviously their journey has spanned many decades. ]
