also this is so not a trivial hassle but even knowing dahut for five minutes, that's something he'd expect him to say. ]
Being here troubles me some, [ which he would not even bother to admit to someone who seemed to be Going Through It, mild a complaint as it is, but he trusts it will not ding their cheery vibes ] but it is amazing. Enough to be worth the trouble.
[ it is truly so enlightening to learn about Space. ]
And I've never had the opportunity to work with so many outside of our Domain! You are all so terribly interesting.
[STOUP.......... Also valid yeah it doesn't take long at all to get to know what kind of wild shit he says.
The cheery vibes are not dinged at all though, he's right! Though Dahut's smile does shift into something a little more sympathetic.]
Mm, I'd imagine it troubles just about everyone at least a little. [Even him! Probably! Maybe!] But I agree with that entirely! I rarely ever get to meet people who aren't already my colleagues, so this has been a lot of fun, you know? Ah - could you tell me a little about your domain...?
[ nooo not the sympathy. he really is an upbeat fish, though his temperament shifts from cheerful to fond with the subject matter. ]
It is fun, isn't it? [ like three people have thought he was going to eat them and he got attacked once ] Everyone is so full of character.
[ even moreso for someone stuck on a island, probably? ]
But yes, certainly! The Zora's Domain is—as may be obvious, the home of my people, the Zora. [ he's a diplomat, and therefore less of a himbo for this specific thing. ] Our architects and artisans are famed for their talent—so our city is build amidst the Great Spring, entwined in it, and wrought in silver and luminous stone. I'm sure you would find it a vision!
[oh my god NOT SIDON. HELP ME. THIS IS SO SAD but at least he's got a good spirit about it?!]
They are, they are! I love it!
[That is exactly the case, he's so happy to just not be stuck on a fucking island anymore! But oh wow the shift from himbo to diplomat, sasuga a true royal. Dahut will listen politely, a spark of interest in his goblin magic anime girl eyes.]
It does sound lovely just from your description... It must look lovely at night, if it's set with luminous stone and silver! Is the Great Spring exactly that?
[ IT'S FUN... people are just lil silly guys. their enthusiasm is on the same wavelength. he likes dahut too, clearly, freaky anime eyes and all. ]
Yes! It is the greatest source of fresh water in Hyrule. [ JUST A BIG OL... CLEVERLY NAMED...... SPRING ] It is the aquatic heart of the entire kingdom! And there are the mountains, and the wetlands, and the sea—but I hope you'll interrupt my ramblings to tell me a bit about your home as well?
[THEY SURE........ARE. Thanks for liking him even though he has animeitis though, sir.]
Oh! That must be an amazing size, then! [A big ol cleverly named spring that fills... a country?? He's assuming a country.]
That sounds like such a diverse landscape, too. I don't think I've ever seen wetlands or proper mountains, but I feel like I'd never get bored being able to look at so many interesting places! [At the question though, he just laughs, waving a hand sheepishly.]
Arpéchéle is nothing much to talk about, to be honest. It's a very small island surrounded by incredibly rough seas, and while we have a few scattered forests and seaside cliffs, it's mostly just meadows and beaches.
[ does not think about scaling in legend of zelda ]
Ah—the ocean can be dangerous that way. [ there's really nothing more isolated than an island. even zora don't often live in the sea itself, though lanaryu is truly so wide and diverse he doesn't lack of things to see anyway.
still, nothing wrong with a little patch of home, as long as it's fulfilling. ] So it is just you and your colleagues there, for the most part?
[Their rough ass seas and [redacted] truly have made them the most isolated island in the wholeass world.]
It is! No one makes it in and no one can leave, either. In all the history for as far back as most people can remember, there's only been one visitor from the outside world, and he ended up there in a total stroke of luck!
Oh, not really! After all, ours is still a nation with several thousand people! It's pretty self-contained, but since no one really knows or expects any different, it's not so bad.
[There aren't a lot of people who crave the thrill of adventure...]
[Just nodding! Yeah! Isolated but not alone. There are 3k freaks trapped out in the sea somewhere, being French vaguely.]
Ah... Well... I'd be lying if I said I'd never considered it even once! But my hands were really full with the things going on there, so I didn't have that much time to consider it, you see.
