[ he is, he is. of course, what happens next is far more than one little stretch of cobblestone. it's a lovely city, illuminated with warm city lights and hewn more from stone than the metal he's accustomed to.

[it's a pretty city! it's - he won't know what the vibe of las vegas is, but it is kind of like a medieval las vegas. there are gambling parlors on every corner, there is absolutely a brothel up the steps and it's not even trying to hide what it is, there are little restaurants and cafes. the streets are littered with garbage and newspaper advertisements, but. it's still charming, in a way. there's life, here.

It's beautiful! I have not traveled all the lands, but even beyond the Zora's Domain, it is remarkable—great springs, fire mountains, deserts, grasslands... [ a thoughtful pause. ] It is damaged, perhaps. But resilient.

[ since he agreed last time, they can meet while the sim room is running again, and this is what greets her. even with the simulation running at night, the elaborate silver platforms are lit with luminous, blue stone built into every pillar, reflecting softly across the water that floods nearly every surface and the tall, stone ridges climbing up around them.

she wanders in, and there's two things he can feel from her right off the bat! the first is a bright and fascinated curiosity, maybe a little childlike. she's always been more comfortable in the dark, and the soft glow of the blue stones makes her smile as she walks into the room. the second thing is, unfortunately, a soft, bone-deep sorrow, persistent. it's not at the forefront of her emotions, and sometimes it fades into the background entirely, but it's a little bit like a chronic pain; it's always there, and she's become accustomed to ignoring it as much as she's able, just to function properly.
